Raylene Green (nee McConnell), age 75, a life-long resident of Portage, IN, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022.

Raylene was born on April 13, 1947, in Universal, IN to the late Robert and Kathleen (nee Thomas) McConnell.  She married Arnold "Arnie" Green on August 4, 1963, and they spent 46 years together until his death in 2009. Raylene was an avid bowler and competed in bowling leagues.  She was an involved grandmother and loved her granddaughters.  Raylene was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Raylene is survived by her daughters: Janet (Harry) Williams and Sandy Green; granddaughters: Samantha Jane and Jordan Elizabeth Williams; and many nieces and nephews.

Raylene is preceded in death by her husband, Arnie; parents: Robert and Kathleen; and siblings: Larry and Gary McConnell and Donna Kay Cheeseman.

Family and friends may gather at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Ave Portage, Indiana on Friday, May 20, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.  A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation at 12:00 P.M. with Chaplain Pat Ciupek officiating.  Burial will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
