Raymond Breshock
Age 87 of Hobart passed away Thursday, April 21,2022. He was born on May 13, 1934, in Beaver Meadows, Pennsylvania to the late Nicholas and Mary Breshock. He was a retired letter carrier for Hammond Post Office. On August 30, 1962, Raymond married the love of his life Donagene (nee Sturtz) in Munster, Indiana. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a member of St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Hobart. Raymond enjoyed spending time with his family, he enjoyed coin and stamp collecting and was an avid smelt fisherman. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Donagene Breshock; four sons, Doug (Kim) Breshock, Steve (Carol) Breshock, Michael (Lisa) Breshock and Timothy (Cyndee) Breshock; six grandchildren, Adam (Vanesa) Breshock, Tara Breshock, Brendon Breshock, Cassie (Brayden) Banske, Teigen Breshock, and Timothy Logan "T.J." Breshock Jr.; four, great-grandchildren, Andrew, Vincent, Anthony and Elliana; brother Bernie (Pat) Breshock; sister, Mary (Bernie) Zeleznock; many nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas, and Mary Breshock; sister, Agnes Salko; three brothers, Joe, Nick, and John "Cotton" Breshock.
In lieu of flowers donations in Raymond's memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis TN 38105-1905 or to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
A 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held directly at St. Bridget Church, 107 Main Street, Hobart, Indiana 46342, on Saturday, April 30,2022. Cremation will follow with a burial later at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Park in Elwood, Illinois. Visitation will be held Friday, April 29, 2022, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342.
