Raymond "Ramie" Chavez III
, age 36 of Portage, IN, passed away Friday, August 23, 2013. He was born on July 2 1977 in Evergreen Park, IL, the son of Raymond and Alice Gill (nee Escobedo) Chavez. Ramie worked as a water blaster for KM Industrial and was a member of Local 460. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle and friend.
Raymond is survived by his parents, Raymond and Alice Chavez of Portage, brother; David Chavez of Portage, two sisters; Melissa (Shawn) Hosking of Valparaiso and Angel Chavez of Portage, grandmother; Carmen Gill Escobedo, nephew Rudy, four nieces; Jocelyn, Olivia, Mia and Chloe, and many other loving family members and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, August 27, 2013 10:00 a.m. directly at Nativity of Our Savior Church 2949 Willowcreek Road, Portage, IN. with Rev. Andrew J. Corona officiating, with additional visitation from 9:30 until time of Mass. Cremation will follow.
