Raymond J. Feigl, Sr.

Lake Station, Indiana

Raymond J. Feigl, Sr., age 82, a longtime resident of Lake Station, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2012. He was born on June 23, 1929 in East Saint Louis, Illinois. Ray proudly served his country serving in the United States Army. Ray was married to Jennie Houk on August 26, 1950 in Crown Point. He worked as a welder for United States Steel and then worked as the Director of Services for the Lake Station Parks Department. Ray was a member of the American Legion Post # 100 in Lake Station, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He enjoyed fishing, and music, and was an avid horse and southwestern Americana art collector. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and a dear friend to all.

Ray is survived by his loving family; son Raymond J. (Wanda) Feigl, Jr., Lake Station, grandchildren Adam Feigl, Lake Station, and Jason Feigl, Lake Station, daughter Sharron (Richard) Parnell, Lake Station, brother Rudy (Rose) Feigl, Bellville, Illinois, sister Brenda (Raymond) Feigl, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and other loving family and dear friends. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, his step-sons Richard Maleck and Bruce Maleck, and his brother Roy Feigl and Mike Feigl.

A memorial visitation for Raymond J. Feigl, Sr., will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Rees Funeral Home – Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station. A memorial funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 19, 2012 with Military Honors following.
