Raymond Green, age 76, of Valparaiso previously of Hobart, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2013 at the Porter Regional in Valparaiso. He was born February 1, 1937 in Dyersburg, Tennessee to the late Cecil and Bertha (nee Merrick) Green. Raymond married Marlene Jo Wojtysiak on September 24, 1952 in Mississippi. Raymond worked 20 years for Ford Motors in Chicago Heights and retired from the City of Hobart Street and Sanitation Dept. Raymond is survived by his son, Rickey (Pamela) Green of Hobart; his two daughters, Jackie (Craig) Dobis of Portage and Tracy Green; brother, Daniel (Marilyn) Green of Merrillville, his six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Marlene Green and his parents.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 11 am at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Rev. Bill Barrow officiating. Cremation will follow.
