Raymond Hall

Raymond George Hall was born on July 19,1944, in Gary, IN to George F. Hall and Marion M. (Guba) Hall.

Ray married Linda Hall, whom he shared his life with from February 24, 1968, to her passing on October 18, 2009. During his years with Linda, he celebrated his life with his 3 children, Michael G. (Paige) Hall of Champaign, IL, daughter, Janet M. (Lowell) Bengero of Carmel, IN and son, John M. (Traci) Hall of Kouts, IN.

Ray’s children blessed him with 6 grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Kennedy, Eric, Lourdes, Jake, Desiree and Jocelyn.

In 2011, Ray’s life was again blessed, and he married Anita with whom he would share going to car meets and trips to Disney. With his marriage to Anita, his family grew to include 2 stepdaughters, Richelle (Ron) Hartman of Peoria, Az, Shara (Matt) Mertz of Hanna, IN; and grandchildren Edyn, Garrett and Gillian.

Ray is survived by sister Nancy (Roy) Grinnell of Hamlet, IN

Ray is preceded in death by his parents, George and Marion Hall, brother, George M. Hall, sister, Cheryl Bradford and wife, Linda Hall.

Ray graduated from Bishop Noll High School in 1962 and then served 3 years in the Army. He worked at US Steel for 35 years prior to retiring. There he was known as "little man" and "Colonel". He was a member of Steelworkers local# 1014 and American Legion post 502 and 403.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 1-3 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage, IN. Service to follow at 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
