Raymond Warren Nederman, age 80, of Valparaiso, formerly of Portage and Lake Station, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2012. Survived by: two brothers, Dale (Norma) Bridgeford and Harrison (Sally) Warren; daughters, Connie Nederman (Crown Point) and Kathy Nederman (Dallas, TX); sons, David Nederman (LaPorte) and Donald Nederman (Houston, TX); stepsons, Johnny (Karen) Hansen (Hobart) and Mark (Krissy) Hansen (Valparaiso); as well as thirteen grandchildren, all of whom will miss him dearly remembering his fun-loving, care-free attitude. Mr. Nederman was a veteran of the US Army and business owner of Nederman's Glass and Trim in Lake Station, IN for over 30 years. Growing up on a farm in Mountain Grove, MO, he loved animals and easily formed lasting bonds with his pets. He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia and daughters, Mary Rae Nederman and Cheryl Tyler and looked forward to their joyful reunion. His family rejoices knowing he now abides with our Lord Jesus Christ. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 6 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel, 10909 Randolph St., Winfield/Crown Point, IN 46307. Cremation to follow the service. Visitation will be Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel (219) 661-2600.
