Raymond "Sam" Palyok, age 76, of Lake Station, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2020. He was born on January 10, 1944 in Gary, Indiana. Sam retired from Inland Steel where he worked as an overhead crane mechanic. He was a devoted member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Sam was also a member of the Glen Park Eagles and the Alliance of Transylvanian Saxons. He served as an umpire and loved bowling.

Sam is survived by his beloved wife, Zita (nee Drake) Palyok; sons, Raymond (Nancy) Palyok, Phillip Palyok, Drake Koby; daughters, Melissa (Randy) Hostetler, Joanna (John) Dube; grandchildren, Helen, Sara, Hope, Victoria, Christopher, Phillip, Felicia, Mackenzie, Jake, Samantha, Kayla, Madison, Brooklyn, Robert and Autumn; 13 great grandchildren; brother, John (Jenny) Palyok.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and John Palyok; daughter, Tracy Rangel.
