Raymond Kelly Russ, (Schaefer), age 52, a longtime resident of Portage passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2010. He was born on April 26, 1958 in Gary, Indiana. Ray worked in construction and was a roofer and had worked for Bill Owens Roofing. He was a member of American Legion Post 260 and a member of the Eagles. His greatest joy was being with his family and playing with his grandkids.
Ray is survived by his loving family; son Jessie Paul Russ, Rockville, daughters Regina Lane (Mike) Henderson, South Haven, and Kelly Nicole (Scott Wayne Morris) Russ, South Haven, grandchildren Alyssa Michelle Henderson, Landon Michael Ray Morris, and Ian Joseph Morris, mother Dolores Edelen, Hesperia, CA, father Paul (Linda) Russ, Pomona, CA, sister Deborah (Clifford) Douglas, Myrtle Beach, SC, brothers Rick (Caroline) Schaefer, Waialua, HI, and Paul R. (Luana) Russ, Hesperia, CA, and other loving family and dear friends, Kimberly Ann Gagliardi, mother of Ray's 3 loving children.
