Raymond E. Scott

Raymond E. Scott, age 70, of Hobart passed away Tuesday June 9, 2026, at St Mary Medical Center in Hobart. He was born February 3, 1956, in Gary, Indiana to the late John and Ernestine (Travis) Scott. He was a laborer. He loved his time spent in Monticello, working, hunting, and fishing. He loved spending time with his family, playing Who’s on First with his brothers and sisters, watching TV, especially the Beverly Hillbillies, because Granny Klampett reminded him of his own mother, and watching the Chicago Cubs.

Ray is survived by his four children, Jonathan Scott, Jennifer Scott, Raymond Scott, and Elizabeth Yuhasz; several grandchildren including Brittney Scott, Larry Lovenduski, and Cody Scott; three brothers, Ernie Scott, Ronald Scott, and Paul Scott; five sisters, Elva Scott Tuzinski, Norma Haines, Shirley Zelanka, Melinda Harney, and Dora Guess; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, his parents, a brother John Scott, and his sister, Rebecca Kay Yakel.

Raymond wished to be cremated with no attended services at this time. The family will conduct a Celebration of his Life at a future date. Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana was entrusted with his cremation.
