Raymond E. Scott

Raymond E. Scott, age 70, of Hobart passed away Tuesday June 9, 2026, at St Mary Medical Center in Hobart. He was born February 3, 1956, in Gary, Indiana to the late John and Ernestine (Travis) Scott. He was a laborer that worked for several Construction Companies and Contractors. He loved spending time with his family and watching TV, especially the Beverly Hillbillies, because Granny Klampett reminded him of his own mother.

Ray is survived by his four children, Raymond Scott, Elizabeth Yuhasz, Jonathan Scott and Jennifer Scott; several grandchildren including Brittney Scott, Larry Lovenduski, and Cody Scott; three brothers, Ernie Scott, Ronald Scott, and Paul Scott; five sisters, Elva Scott Tuzinski, Norma Haines, Shirley Zelanka, Rebecca Kay Yakel, and Melinda Harney; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother John Scott.

Raymond wished to be cremated with no attended services at this time. The family will conduct a Celebration of his Life at a future date. Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana was entrusted with his cremation.
