Raymond Seidlitz of Crown Point formerly of Naperville, Illinois, passed away February 5, 2022. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 64 yrs., Fay; his children, Michael Seidlitz, and Geline (Paul) Znika; five grandchildren, Lauren (Stephen) Felty, Leslie (Kristopher) Simonovski, Sarah (Tim) Haddy, Shayna Seidlitz and Nikolaj Seidlitz; ten great grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Anna Seidlitz. Ray grew up on the west side of Chicago where he graduated from Austin High School. He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the Illinois Institute of Technology where he earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, and Aerospace Engineering and he held a master's degree in Business Administration from Loyola University of Chicago. Ray's entire career was with Bell System in engineering, sales, and marketing positions at Teletype Corp., AT&T corporate offices, and Bell Laboratories. Ray treasured his family and the many friends he made over the years. He always had a warm smile for everyone and a real sense of humor. He had many interests but especially enjoyed doing anything with the love of his life and best friend Fay, whether it was travel, dining, dancing or whatever, just so it was being together. He was a member of Grace Methodist Church in Naperville where he served many years as a Stephen Leader. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Leukemia or Lymphoma Society would be appreciated.
