Rebecca Kay Castellanos, "Becky", age 63, of Lake Station, IN passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023.

Becky was born on July 26, 1960 in Hammond, IN to the late Thomas and Roberta Smith.  She married Jerry Castellanos, Sr. and spent over 30 loving years together.  Becky was a homemaker and cared for her home and children.  She loved life.  She enjoyed chatting with anyone and loved her dogs and watching TV.  Becky was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, dog mom, and dear friend to many and will be deeply missed.

Becky is survived by her husband, Jerry; her son: Jerry Daniel Castellanos, Jr.; siblings: Johnny (Christina) Smith and Annette (late Glen) Matthews; brother-in-law: Milton Sweitzet; many nieces and nephews and other extended family members; and beloved dogs: Chico and Thor.

Becky is preceded in death by her son: John Michael Monacy; parents: Thomas and Roberta; siblings: Doug and Jimmy Smith and Linda Sweitzet; and brother-in-law: Glen Matthews.

Family and friends may gather at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel (600 W Old Ridge Rd., Hobart) on Thursday, November, 16, 2023 from 2:00-5:00 P.M.  A Funeral Service will take place immediately following visitation at 5:00 P.M. with Pastor Chad Cook officiating.  Cremation will follow funeral service.
