Rebecca M. Houston, age 78, of Portage, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at VNA Hospice in Valparaiso. She was born in Wedowee, Alabama on November 24, 1938 to the late Lee and Mary (Carr) Wilson. She was a member of the Untied Baptist Church in Chicago. Rebecca enjoyed shopping and visiting with her sisters.

Rebecca is survived by daughter, Vickie Reid; son, Reginald (Rhonda) Houston; sister, Joann Holloway; grandchildren, Krystal Flowers, Jeremy Flowers, Marcus Lindsey, Charles Lindsey; great grandchildren, Dontrell Henderson, Javon Henderson, Alayna Flowers, Tianna Carr, Jaylen Flowers; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Frederick D. Houston; son in law, Dwayne Reid; brothers, Clarence Wilson, Leroy Wilson; sisters, Inez Brown, Martha Houston, Dorothy Holloway; and her parents.
