Rebecca L. Kewitz

Rebecca L. Kewitz (nee Lazzo), age 34, of Hobart, IN and formerly of both Chicago Heights and Kankakee, IL, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 28, 2022.

Rebecca was born on March 10, 1987 in Chicago Heights, IL to Adrian Nicholson, Sr. and Patricia Lazzo.  She was passionate about her work as a funeral director and took pride in bringing families peace.  Rebecca enjoyed photography and anything New Orleans.  She was involved in Hobart Pop Warner, supporting her kids in football and cheerleading.  Her children were her life and her focus; Rebecca was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Rebecca is survived by her children: David, Kendra, Izzy, Colton, and Issac; mother and best friend: Patricia Lazzo; step father: Donel Embery; father: Adrian Nicholson, Sr.; brothers: Adrian and Kenneth; maternal grandmother: Marietta Lazzo; husband: A.J.; brother, Melvin Alexander; paternal grandmother, Alfrieda Anderson and many aunts and uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

A memorial visitation will be held on March 12, 2022 at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel (600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart) from 11:00-12:00.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to Rebecca's mother: Patty Lazzo.
