Rheba A. Peksenak

Rheba A. Peksenak, age 79 of Darlington, MO passed away Monday, September 30, 2024.  She was born on June 20, 1945 in Valparaiso, Indiana to the late Earl and Mary Strain.  Rheba was a former resident of Hobart for 30 years and was formerly a member of St. Bridget Church.  She worked for Strack and Van Til and Joliet Junior College.

She is survived by her longtime companion, Benedict Cervan of MO; two sons, Paul (Shirley) Peksenak of AZ; Charles (Norma) Peksenak of Lake Station, IN; one daughter, Julie (Bill) Klecka of Romeo, IL; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Peksenak, siblings, Anita Johnson, Ethel Bottom, Billy Strain, Clarence Strain, Mary Margaret (Miggy) White, and Gail Mayo.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations are preferred.

Cremation took place in Missouri.  Memorial visitation is Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a memorial service at 12 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage with Rev. Benjamin Ross officiating.   Procession to follow to Calvary Cemetery for burial of cremains.
