Richard F. Bartholomew

Richard F. Bartholomew "Dick", age 92, of Hobart, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018. He was born on March 24, 1926 in Gary, Indiana to the late Joseph and Mildred Holbrook. A lifelong area resident, he retired from US Steel in 1978, where he worked as a supervisor. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during World War II. Dick was an associate member of the Hobart Fraternal Order of Police and the American Legion Post #54 in Hobart. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hobart.

Dick is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Betty Lou Bartholomew; daughter, Diana Driscoll of Walpole, MA; granddaughters, Alison (Daniel II) Zarrella of Henderson, NV and Jennifer Driscoll of Boston, MA; great granddaughter, Audrey Lynn Zarrella; brother-in-law, Bill Cope; sister-in-law, Cleo Douglas; many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Bartholomew.
