Richard E. Bullock, age 83, of Portage, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Vibra Hospital in Crown Point.  He was born in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky on December 5, 1936 to the late Mack Ellis and Josie Marie (nee France) Bullock.  Richard was a veteran of The United States Army, a member of the American Legion, Post 100 in Lake Station, and he retired from US Steel after 38 years.  He loved to exercise, walk outside, and was a sports fan.

Richard is survived by his children, Carmen (Jeffrey) Carns, Ray (Debra) Bullock; grandchildren, Amie (Jeremy) Pedone, Michelle (Kipras) Baciauskas, Ashley Carns, Scott Young; and great-grandchildren, Rhys and Wyatt Pedone, Benas and Davos Baciauskas.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Josie (Lurman) Majors; father, Mack Bullock; and sister, Betty Morgan.

A private graveside service will take place at Evergreen Memorial Park in Hobart.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Rees Funeral Home.  For more information, please call 219-942-2109.
