Richard "Rick" J. Orosz, age 63, of Lake Station, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016. He was born on July 23, 1953 to the late Richard Orosz and Eleanor Karriman. He worked for US Steel as a millwright and graduated from Hobart High School in 1971. Rick will be remembered as an avid fisherman who enjoyed car shows.

Rick is survived by his wife, Catherine (nee Crew) Orosz; sons, Jason (Kara) Orosz, Bryn Orosz; step son, Luke (Amanda) Shaw; brothers, Alan Orosz, Lee (Megan) Orosz; sister, Linda (Bob) Fife; and grandchildren, Cameron, Alex, Nathan, Andriana, Melanie, Peyton, Hayden, Jaxon, Aubree, Carter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and step mother, Fran Orosz.

A funeral service for Rick, with Pastor Bob Burton officiating, will take place Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave, Portage IN 46368.
