Richard M. Norman, age 74, of Lake Station passed away Thursday October 27, 2022, at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Richard was born April 15, 1948, in Gary, Indiana to the late Marion and Bertha (Grinder) Norman. He was a life-long area resident. He was a Meat Cutter and member of United Food and Commercial Workers Local Union #1546.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Bernice Norman; two children, Brian Norman of Kouts and Lisa Norman of Oklahoma; two step children, Bryan Brown and Rodney Brown; nineteen grandchildren, Derek Adamczyk, Justin Woloszyk, Kaydie Norman, Elizabeth Gossman, Farrah Norman, Ricky Norman, David Brood, Jared Norman, Tyler Norman, Codey Norman, Weston Norman, Anthony Norman, Brett Norman, Zac Nomanson, Chelsey Nicolls, Lucas Nicolei, Annalea Nicolei, Chase Nicolei, and Isabelle Satterfield; three step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren;  and two sister, Jean Stout and Wanda McCluskey; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three children, Karen Norman, Richard Norman, and Jason Norman; and one sister, Judy Hein.

Visitation will be Wednesday November 2, 2022, from 10 am to 12 noon at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342. His Funeral Service will follow immediately at 12 noon at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Portage, Indiana.
