Richard A. Rubino

Age 73, of Portage passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024. He was born on July 14, 1950, in Gary, Indiana to the late Albert J. and Iris J. (nee Walters) Rubino. He was a retired Local 395 Ironworker. Rich loved Fishing, golfing, and bowling. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Richard is survived by his son; Richard (Tricia) Rubino; three grandson's, Aidan, Dominic, and Noah Rubino; brother, Philip (Cindy) Rubino; two sisters, Marcia (Steve Sonaty) Jones and Marilyn Walsh; niece, Stephanie Sonaty; nephew, Steven (Amber) Jones; great nephew, Kobain, and Harrison; and numerous other nieces and nephews, cousins, and special friends Jay Bor and Chris Sonaty.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary (nee Jones) Rubino, second wife, Claudia (nee Stang); brothers, Michael, and Charles Rubino; his father Albert J. Rubino and mother, Iris J Rubino.

A memorial service for Richard will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, February 26, 2024 at REES FUNERAL HOME, 600 West Old Ridge Road Hobart, IN 46342. Memorial visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
