Richard Anthony Sohovich

Richard A. Sohovich, 70, passed away peacefully at home in the care of The Hospice of the Calumet Area. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Catherine Sohovich, brothers, John Joseph and Thomas Sohovich, and sisters, Judy Sandersen and Patty Greer. He is survived by a sister, Margie (Sohovich) Sheffer and two brothers Michael (Brenda) Sohovich and Gregory (Penny) Sohovich, along with 44 nieces and nephews.

Richard was a renaissance man who traveled the world as a deep-sea diver for ten years then returned to college to get his BSN and became an ICU specialized travel nurse working in cities from coast to coast.

Richard had varied interests and was an eclectic collector; fossils, coins, and Megalodon shark teeth were amongst his favorites.

A private interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Portage, Indiana.
