Richard A. Waugh

Richard A. Waugh, age 75, of Portage passed away peacefully, Saturday, July 12, 2025, in Northwest Health-Porter Hospital in Valparaiso, Indiana. He was born March 24, 1950, in Hammond, Indiana to the late Richard E. and Wanda (Edwards) Waugh. Richard was a construction project manager through the Carpenters Local Union #1050. Over his lifetime, Richard enjoyed many hobbies including R/C model Airplane building/flying,motorcycle riding, participating in car shows with his Roadrunner and fishing. Richard valued his many friendships and family above all else.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Skratsky) Waugh; three children: Heather Waugh of Raleigh, NC; Stephanie
(Jeremy) Stewart of Portage; Nathan Waugh of Portage; and his brother Timothy Waugh of Valparaiso.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Richard's remembrance gathering is being held Saturday July 19th, 2025, from 9 am - 11 am at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Ave. Portage, Indiana. Immediately after the gathering will be the funeral ceremony officiated by Pastor Bill Taylor.

Richard will be laid to his final resting place at Calvary Cemetery, Portage IN.
