Rick Loving

Rick Loving, age 65, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2026. He was born on December 6, 1960, in Gary, Indiana, to the late William Loving and Patricia (nee Britton) Westmoreland.

Rick was a retired cement mason with Local 692, Area 438. He married Becky Reno, on June 2, 1990, in Valparaiso, and together they shared 36 wonderful years of marriage. Rick was a simple man who found happiness in the things he loved most. He enjoyed being at home, watching the History Channel and NASCAR, bowling and spending time with his family. His signature bandana was something he wore every day and became a familiar part of who he was. Rick was a hardworking man who appreciated what he had and never needed much to be happy. Above all, he loved his family dearly, and his grandchildren held an especially precious place in his heart. The time spent with them brought him great joy, and the love he had for his family will remain in their hearts forever.

He is survived by his loving wife, Becky Loving; two daughters, Marcia (Patrick) Kistler and Beth Ann Ramsey; son, Mike (Jamie) Posey; fourteen grandchildren, Chelsea (Tim), Kyle, Chrissy (Jacob), Adam (Mikayala), Clay, Hailey, Tyler, Logan, Addison, William, Madilyn, Arianna, Jaeson, and Leah; seven great-grandchildren with one more on the way; nephews, Billy and Brian; and cousin, Lynn Crews.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Loving Jr.; and granddaughter, Katie.

In lieu of flowers donation in Rick’s memory to Jubilee Worship Center 415 N Hobart Rd, Hobart, IN 46342 would be appreciated.

Visitation for Rick will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana 46368. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Portage.
