Rita D. Igras

Age 68, of Porter passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2011. Rita was a lifetime area resident; she enjoyed playing; cards, macramé crafts and square dancing. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Rita is survived by her family; 3 sons, Charles Penix of Portage, Dale Penix of Portage, Steven (Sharon) Igras of Hebron, 4 daughters; Linda (Bill) Dingee of Valparaiso, Paula (Karles) Igras-Correll, Sandra Igras of Portage and Lisa (Mike) Campbell of Westville, 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters Karen "Kay" Pilgrim and JoAnn (Red) Loving numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Stanley "Stosh" Igras, daughter, Susan Jones, parents Willard and Bessie Silverthorn and granddaughter, Tara Marie Jones.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home – Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 23, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials in Rita's memory may be made to the Igras Family.
