Robert Lee "Bob" Farley, age 71 a longtime Hobart resident passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014. He was born on April 30, 1942in Marion, Kentucky to the late Jessie and Clara Farley. He worked for the City of Hobart Street Dept. for 42 years retiring in 2006. Bob was a longtime member of the Bible Baptist Church in Portage. He enjoyed fishing and collecting antiques.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Farley of Hobart, IN; 1 son, David (Carrie) Farley of Hobart, IN; 3 brothers, Jessie Eugene Farley, Kenneth Farley, Billy Peters, 2 sisters, Sandra Fletcher, and Debbie Fletcher all of KY; 2 granddaughters, Heather Farley(fiancee, Nathan Banga), Noelle Farley.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Farley (nee Vannest),4 sons, 4 sisters, Elizabeth Jean Sigers, Betty Josephine McClure, Vallie Mae Vasseur, and Bonnie Kay Deckert.
Funeral services are Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Pastor Don Good officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, IN. Visitation is Friday, February 28, 2014 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
