Robert R. Byrum

Robert Richard Byrum, age 71, of Hobart passed away Monday 3/14/2016 at St. Mary Medical Center. Robert was born May 13, 1944 in Gary, Indiana to the late Grandville and Pauline (Marcella) Byrum. Bob was a coater-operator that retired from Crown Cork & Seal, USA. He took great care of his loving family.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Kathy; three children, Biz (Connie), Shortie (Rachael) and Missy (Jim); eight grandchildren, Linnea, Angie, Jessi, Elizabeth, Chloe, Desi, Sadies and Kirstin; seven great grandchildren, Sidda, Ren, Amya, Kingston, Dylan, Brooklynn and Matthew; and many friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Shunie and sister Roberta McCown.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday March 18, 2016 at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana with Pastor Bob Burton officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
