Robert "Wayne" Croft

Robert M. "Wayne" Croft, age 95 of Hobart passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at home. Wayne was born on September 12, 1929, in Rosiclare, IL to the late Earl and Ina (nee Threkled) Croft. He retired from Inland Steel. Wayne loved the St. Louis Cardinals and his grandchildren. He was a member of the Nazarene Church.

Wayne is survived by his son, Ron Croft; daughter, Sherry Hines; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Clara; daughter, Janet Pinchard, 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Per Wayne's wishes, there will be no services. Cremation was entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, IN. For more information, please call (219) 762-3013.
