Robert L. "Bob" Damron, age 68, of Hobart, passed away June 12, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 3, 1948 in Owensboro, KY to the late Leslie and Mary Louise Damron. Bob proudly served his country as a combat veteran of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post #100, the V.F.W. Post #7760, and the M.L. McClelland Masonic Lodge in Hobart.

He is survived by his wife, Klia Damron; sons, Randy Grady Bishop, Robert (Carrie) Damron; step sons, Jason Nowicki, Forrest (Erika) Nowicki; grandchildren, Owen and Elizabeth Damron; step grandsons, Jason and Forrest Nowicki; brother, Tom (Joyce) Damron; sister, Betty Hullet.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Mary Louise Damron. Memorial contributions in Bob's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101.

A funeral service for Bob will take place Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Chaplain Lisa Casimer officiating. He will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Portage. Visitation for Bob will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
