Robert Farr
age 36 of Lake Station passed away Wednesday July 6, 2011. He was born on July 22, 1974 in Hobart, Indiana. He was a Lake Station Little League manager and former Vice President. Robert worked for Acuren Inspections as an NDT Inspector. He was an avid hot rod racing, baseball and football fan. Robert will be remembered by his family as a wonderful and caring husband, father, son, brother, uncle, coach and friend.
He is survived by his loving family, wife, Margaret (Nee Richeson) Farr, 3 sons; Marcus, (twins) Coleman and Christopher Farr 3 daughters; Leighanne, Desirae and Haily Farr all of Lake Station, Father, Norman Farr, Mom and Dad; Robert and Wanda (nee McDaniel) Strong of Valparaiso, 4 brothers; Daniel Alcorn, Lake Station, Johnny Strong, Knox, James (Jessica) Strong of Plymouth, and Tim (Amber) Strong of Knox, 4 sisters; Cheryl Selby of Knox, Tammy (Luis) Guido of La Porte, Alice and Angel Farr both of Portage, many nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by grandparents; Richard & Loretta McDaniel and uncle; Coleman Lee McDaniel and aunt, Deloris Wilcox.
Funeral services are Monday, July 11, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Bob Burton of Real Life Community Church- officiating at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Ave., Lake Station. Burial will follow at McCool Cemetery, Portage. Visitation is Sunday July 10,2011 from 2:00- 8:00 p.m. also at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel.
