Robert G. Foster

Robert G. Foster, age 72 a longtime Lake Station resident passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021.  He was born on August 13, 1949 in California to the late Robert G. and Margaret Foster.  He was retired and had worked as a Prison Guard at the Michigan City Prison for many years.   Robert loved fishing, collecting trains and cars, and he loved John Wayne.

He is survived by three daughters, Norma (Chuck) Peksenak of Hobart, IN; Chrystal (Charles) Shultz of Lake Station, IN; Connie (late Paul) Kolic of Portage, IN;  two brothers, Rodney Foster, Roger ((Patricia) Foster both of South Haven, IN; two sisters, Connie ( James) Krohn of Valparaiso, Indiana; Nichole (Jeff) Turner of Chesterton, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Charles, Dustin, Ryan, Jacob, Charles Jr., Richard, Isiah, Jonah, and Arletta, and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Arletta Foster, and one brother, Gordon Foster.

Robert's family is planning a memorial service on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at 3:00 pm at New Life Community Church, 1 N. Pennsylvania St., Hobart, Indiana 46342. A dinner will follow the memorial service and the family asks if you could please bring a dish.
