ROBERT E. FRAZIER, age 79, of Merrillville, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2026. He was born on March 11, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School and a Vietnam Veteran who served in the US Army. Robert retired from Frito Lay after working many years in sales. He was an enthusiastic sports fan and could always be found watching either Blackhawks, White Sox or Bears. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, son, brother and friend.

He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Frazier (Jason Karkoff), 2 granddaughters, Drew Hutmacher and Brynnlee Karkoff; former spouse, Debbie Frazier; 4 siblings, Jean (Mark) Muszynski, David (Mary) Patton, Jim (Barb) Patton, Terri (Greg) Bond; brother-in-law, Ray Rootkie; other loving family and dear friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Arlene (Ray) Patton; father, John Frazier; and sister, Patricia Rootkie.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Robert’s family.

There will be a memorial visitation on Friday, October 16, 2026 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd. There will be a memorial service at 5:00 p.m.
