Robert J. Goudie, age 85 of Portage passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014. He was a longtime Portage resident and was formerly of Orland Park, Illinois. He was born on August 29, 1928 in Blue Island, Illinois to the late James and Gladys Goudie. Robert served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked as a Salesman for Paul Heuring Ford and Bosak Chrysler Dodge and Jeep retiring in 1990. Robert is survived by his former wife and caregiver, Beverly Goudie Neyhart of Portage, IN; 3 sons, Robert (Mary) Goudie of Orland Park, IL, Bruce Goudie of Crestwood, IL; Jeffrey Goudie of Orland Park, IL; 1 daughter, Deborah (Billy) Ellsworth of Las Vegas, NV; 1 brother , Paul (Lavonna) Goudie of Phoenix, AZ; 1 sister, Gladys (Gerald) Burton of Phoenix, AZ; 3 stepsons, Paul E. (Deborah) Neyhart, Jr. of Portage, IN; Richard D. Neyhart of Portage, IN; Keith A. Neyhart of Michigan City, IN; 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren. Cremation will take place with Rees Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Olson Chapel, Portage. A memorial service will be on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Chaplain Bill Moxey at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage.
