ROBERT L. HAWKINS, age 69, of Wanatah, passed away, Saturday, August 1,2026, at home surrounded by his close friends and family. He was born on October 5, 1956 in Gary, Indiana. Robert was a truck driver and drove many years for John Pfledder Trucking. He loved fishing, working on cars, drinking sweet tea and smoking his Marlboro’s. He will be missed deeply by many.

Robert is survived by his 2 sisters, Nancy Sadelack and Bonnie Morris; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Hawkins and his mother, Mary (nee Hammond) Good; sister, Ella Northey Born; brothers , Roy Hawkins, Ronald Northey, and Jim Northey.

Memorial services with burial of cremains will be scheduled soon at a future date.
