ROBERT L. HAWKINS, age 69, of Wanatah, passed away, Saturday, August 1,2026, at home surrounded by his close friends and family. He was born on October 5, 1956 in Gary, Indiana. Robert was a truck driver and drove many years for John Pfledderer Trucking. He loved fishing, working on cars, drinking sweet tea and smoking his Marlboro’s. He will be missed deeply by many.

Robert is survived by his 2 sisters, Nancy Sadelack and Bonnie Morris; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death his wife, Tammy Hawkins; mother, Mary (nee Hammond) Good, and father, Charles Hawkins; sister, Ella Northey Born; brothers, Roy Hawkins, Ronald Northey, and Jim Northey.

There will be a Memorial Service for Robert on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 2 pm at American Legion Post #403, 203 S. Washington St., Wanatah, IN, with dinner to follow.
