Robert B. "Bob" Higgins, Sr. Age 69, of Hobart, passed away April 10, 2018. He was born on August 12, 1948 to the late Bernie and Margie (Brown) Higgins. On March 10, 1979, he married the love of his life, the late, Sandra D. (Goodman) Higgins. Bob was a retired mechanic for INDOT. Bob loved all things cars, working on them taking care of his 1964 Ford F100 Truck, NASCAR and any racing. He loved his "Best Dog" Chico. He will be remembered as the best dad and grandpa any man could be.

Bob is survived by his loving son, Robert (Coralee) Higgins, Jr. of Valparaiso; granddaughters, Hannah Grace Higgins and Morgan Hope Higgins; three brothers, David Higgins of Hobart, Burke (Roberta) Higgins of Merrillville and Richard (Diane) Higgins of Demotte; sister, Sharon (George) Pastry of Wheatfield and many other loving family members and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra D. Higgins, his parents, Bernie and Margie Higgins and his twin sister, Sandy (Higgins) Schuetzenhofer.

A memorial visitation for Bob will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana with Pastor Scott Marshall officiating.
