Robert "Bobby" J. Ruff

Robert J. "Bobby" Ruff Jr., age 64 of Hobart passed away Thursday, November 29, 2019.  He was born on August 31, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois.  Robert was a member of St. Bridget Church in Hobart.  He enjoyed reading, music and shopping on Amazon.

He is survived by six brothers, John J. Ruff of Hobart, IN; Edward J. (Linda) Ruff of Mount Prospect, IL; William J. Ruff of KY; Michael J. (Rene) Ruff of Oak Forest, IL; Patrick J. (Sandy) Ruff of Hobart, IN; Thomas J. (Lisa) Ruff of Homer Glenn, IL; four sisters, Catherine (Bob) Sloan of DeMotte, IN; Barbara  (the late Richard) Tomlinson of Crown Point, IN; Marie (John) Rokicki of Chicago, IL; Nancy (the late Murrell Jr.) Farmer of KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. Ruff Sr. and Barbara Ruff (nee Harbick), and one brother, Kenneth J. Ruff.

The family would like to thank the St. Mary Medical Center ICU and staff that took such good care of Bobby. `

Funeral services are Wednesday December 4, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Rev.  Benjamin Ross officiating.  Cremation will follow with burial of cremains at a later date  St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Evergreen Park Illinois.  Visitation is Wednesday December 4, 2019 just prior to the service from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.  (219) 942-2109 or online at www.Reesfuneralhomes.com .
