Robert James Leamy

Robert James Leamy, age 54, of Portage passed away Sunday May 31, 2020 in the LaPorte Hospital in LaPorte, Indiana.  Robert was born November 16, 1965 in Valparaiso, Indiana to Fred and Janie (Greenhal) Leamy.  Robert was a medical assistant that work for Regional Mental Health Center.  He was a former member and past president of the Portage Jaycee's.  Robert was a member of Liberty Bible Church in Valparaiso.  He also enjoyed Science Fiction Books, Movies and Comic Books.  He also loved his electronic gadgets.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Kathy of Portage; his mother, Janie Leamy of Portage; two sisters, Cheryl (Harry) Weyant of LaCrosse and Mary Gardner of Portage; a brother-in-law David (Kristina) Schneider of WY; one sister-in-law, Kristine (Doug) Camp of Portage; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his father; step father, Richard Tressler; and his grandparents.

Robert will be cremated with no attended services.  Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Ave. Portage, IN 46368 was entrusted with his services.
