age 74, a longtime resident of Hobart passed away on Tuesday, September 07, 2010. He was born on September 29, 1935 in Oaklawn, Illinois the son of Albert and Ruth Macak. Robert proudly served his country as a paratrooper in the United States Army. He was married to Elaine MacGlashan on December 1, 1956 in Oaklawn, Illinois. Robert was a retired cement finish mason and had worked for the McHugh Company. He had been a member of the American Legion, the V.F.W. and the Cement Finisher's Union. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and a dear friend to all.

Robert is survived by his loving family; wife Elaine Macak, Hobart, son Robert (Debbie) Macak, Kankakee, IL, daughters Linda (David) Rhodes, New Castle, Donna Gaskin, Hobart, Vicky (Greg) Zwartz, New Lenox, IL, and Marilyn (Scott) Snyder, Bourbonnis, IL, 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and other loving family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Albert Macak and Donald Macak, and son-in-law Rob Gaskin.

A memorial visitation and service for Robert Macak will be held from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the Garden Chalet Banquets, 11000 South Ridgeland Avenue, Worth, Illinois. A burial of cremains will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, September 13, 2010 at the Fairmont Willow Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, 9100 Archer Avenue, Willow Springs, IL.
