ROBERT W."Bob" McKAY, II, age 69, of Cedar Lake, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 at Franciscan Health, Crown Point.  He was born on September 3, 1952 in Gary. Bob earned his bachelor's degree from IUN and became an x-ray technician at St. Margaret's in Hammond, where he worked until his retirement.  Bob enjoyed working and staying busy and did so by keeping his yard up and taking care of his car.  He also looked forward to his annual summer vacations, but his favorite thing to do was to play with his grandchildren, RJ and Gianna.

He is survived by his wife of almost 48 years, Nancy (nee Kosakowski); 2 children, Lisa (Lynn) Elms of Evergreen, CO, and Robert W. (Mary) McKay, III of Cedar Lake, IN; grandchildren, RJ and Gianna; grand dog, Ava; sister, Debbi McKay of CA;

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert W. McKay, Sr. and Mildred McKay.

Cremation has been entrusted to Rees Funeral Homes, Hobart Chapel.
