Robert Kern Morgan

Robert Kern Morgan, age 88 a lifetime Hobart resident passed away Tuesday June 13, 2023.  Bob graduated from Hobart High School, Class of 1953.  He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran, member of the NRA, and American Legion Post #54 of Hobart.  Bob attended Chesterton Methodist Church.

He is survived by sons, Terry of Hobart, IN; Keith Morgan of Oconomowoc, WI; grandsons, Eric (Jenna) Morgan of Hobart, IN; Ben (fiancé Lisa) of VA; and great-grandchildren Carson and Brody of Hobart, IN; step-grandchildren, Wyatt Evans, Eve (Klawiter) and Emily (Gillette) of Hobart, IN; special life partner, Carolyn Anderson of Portage, IN: sister, Wilma (late Al) Gawthrop, brother, William (late Maureen)(May) Morgan of AZ; numerous nieces and nephews and adopted Schoonover/Goodloe families.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar C. and Vallona (Kern); wife, Jeanne (nee Lawrence); daughter, Kim Frances; daughter-in-law, Cindy (nee Bertolo); brother, Wayne (Betty); sisters, Mildred, Hazel (Jim) Needham.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Bob's honor may be made to the family.

Funeral services are Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road,  Hobart with Rev. Charles Strietelmeier officiating.  Cremation will follow.   Visitation is Friday, June 16, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.  (219) 942-2109.
