Robert C. "Bob" Ogden, age 66, of Westville, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016 at home. He was born on October 26, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Robert and Dorothy Ogden. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired in 2015 from Monosol, LLC, where he was employed as an IT Technician. He also worked for 20 years in the IT Department at Purdue Calumet. He loved science fiction, especially Star Trek, and enjoyed watching documentaries on lost civilizations.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Ogden; daughters, Kimberly Ogden, Cassandra (Alex) Fabian; grandson, Alexander James "A.J." Fabian; sister, Pamela (Jim) Childress; niece, Tammie (Eric) Haish; very special friends, Dave and Kay Scott; beloved cats, Sylvester and Toby.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dorothy Ogden, and one son, Christopher Michael Ogden. Memorial contributions in Bob's name may be made to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation.

A funeral service for Bob will take place Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Pastor Bob Burton officiating. He will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the funeral home. For more information, please call (219) 942-2109.
