Robert William Pecher

Robert William “Bob” Pecher, age 79, of Portage, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. He was born on July 23, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late John and Ethel Pecher. On April 16, 1966, Bob married the love of his life, Patricia Pecher, in Chicago, Illinois. He dedicated over 30 years of hard work as a truck driver and was a proud member of Teamsters Local 705, retiring after a long and steady career serving several companies. Bob found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing, traveling on vacations, and spending time with those closest to him. He deeply adored his wife and family, who were the center of his world. An avid animal lover, he also shared a special bond with his faithful Shih Tzu, Boo.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Pecher; children, Bryan Pecher, Kim Donnelly, Bruce Pecher, and Melanie (Charles) Ballard; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne (Barbara) Pecher; sister, Kathy (Glen) Tyrell; and his cherished companion, Boo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ethel Pecher; his grandson, Christian Robert Ballard; and his brother, Richard “Woody” Pecher.
