Robert W. "Rob" Isakson, age 56 of Hobart passed away Monday, April 21, 2014. He was born on April 22, 1957 in Gary Indiana. Rob was a lifetime Hobart resident and a lifetime member of Augustana Lutheran Church. He graduated from Hobart High School in 1975. Rob was the owner and operator of Isakson Motor Sales. He was also a member of the Hobart Chamber of Commerce, Hobart Rotary Club, Northwest Indiana Auto Trade, and he had numerous Chrysler affiliations. Rob enjoyed golfing and music.

He is survived by his wife, Diane M. Isakson (nee Kepshire) of Hobart, IN; 2 sons, Eric (Melanie) Isakson of Portage, IN; Steven (Angie Walker) Isakson of Portage, IN; 1 daughter, Amanda Isakson of Fort Lauderdale, FL; mother, Lorraine A. Isakson of Hobart, IN; 2 sisters, Rhonda Tamulonis of Carmel, IN; Karen (James) Wilson of Valparaiso, IN; 2 grandchildren, Aubrey and Trevor Isakson, and 1 brother-in-law, Richard (Judy) Kepshire Jr. of Woodridge, IL.

He was preceded in death by his father, William C. "Bill" Isakson.

Funeral services are Friday, April 25, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Augustana Lutheran Church, 207 Kelly Street, Hobart Indiana with Rev. Charles Strietelmeier officiating. Burial will follow at Augsburg Cemetery in Porter. Visitation is Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
