Robert A. Ronk

Age 56, of Lake Station, Indiana, Passed away on December 31, 2025. He was born on January 27, 1969, to Robert W. Ronk and the late Constance Reed in Gary, Indiana.

Robert worked as a mechanic, where he was known for a strong work ethic and mechanical skill.

Outside of work, he had a deep passion for motorcycles and cars and was a devoted Nascar fan. Robert was upbeat, enjoyed having a good time, and brought positive energy wherever he went.

He was formerly the vice President of the ABATE (American Bikers Aimed Toward Education, or sometimes A Brotherhood Active Towards Education), a role he took pride in and where he formed lasting friendships through his love of riding and the Motorcycle community.

Robert will be remembered for his fun-loving spirit, love of motors, and the joy he brought to those around him.

He is survived by his father, Robert (Gerri) Ronk; brother, Dennis Ronk; nephew, Bret Ronk; niece, Alyssa Ronk; three stepsisters, Lori (Beto) Sanchez, Deann (Scott) Baldauf and Sarah (Dave Acosta) Uzelac and his aunt, Bev (Phil) Conrad and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Constance Reed.

A visitation for Robert will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 2:00-6:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Ave. Portage, Indiana 46368. Cremation will follow.
