ROBERT L. WARCHUS, SR. age 70, of Portage, passed away Friday, November 26, 2010 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Robert was a US Army Veteran and retired from Bethlehem Steel in Burns Harbor, Indiana.
He is survived by his son, Robert (Carla) Warchus of Portage, his daughter, Monika (Chris) Pepper of Valparaiso, 6 grandchildren: Zachary & Taylor Warchus; Nicole Dearing, Tonya (Scott) Smith, Tasha Pepper and Alexis Pepper, 2 great grandchildren: Emma & Ethan Smith, sister, Joyce (Doug) Kruschke of Newport News, Virginia. His wife, Diane Warchus, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 11 am at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Hobart.
