Robert Bruce Wilson, age 74, a life-long resident of Portage, IN, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 24, 2021.

Bruce was born on May 6, 1947 to the late George Robert and Martha Helen (nee Hoover) Wilson.  He was a graduate of Portage High School, Class of 1965.  Bruce married the love of his life, Kathy, in December of 1969 and spent 51 wonderful years together.  He owned his business, Portage Decorating Center, for over 35 years.  Bruce was a member of Portage 1 ^st United Methodist Church.  He was a very hard working man and loved his family deeply.  Bruce was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kathy; sons: Eric (Donna) Wilson, Ben (Danielle) Wilson, and Tobey (Tina) Wilson; grandchildren: Ryan (Brittany), Aric (Hailey), Bentley (Nate), Blake, Chase, Allison, Evan, Stephanie (Evan), and Kenny; great-grandchildren: Aleigh, James, and Aria; brother: Mike (Rhonda) Wilson; sister: Carolyn Sue (late Jerry) Vaughn; and many nieces and nephews.

A Private Family Celebration of Bruce's Life will take place at a later date.  Cremation and arrangements are entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to the VNA Hospice of NWI (501 Marquette St., Valparaiso, IN 46383) or to Portage 1 ^st United Methodist Church (2637 McCool Rd, Portage, IN 46368).
