Roberto "Bob" Vasquez, age 66, of Valparaiso, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Franciscan Health in Michigan City.  He was born in Laredo, Texas on June 27, 1955 to the late Felipe and Ramona (nee Villarreal) Vasquez.  Bob worked as a machinist at US Steel for 44 ½ years where he held the position as a Grievance Committee Chairman which included international company union contract negotiations and grievance settlements for Local 1014.  He also was an associate of the former Pannos, Mindel, and McFarland Law Firm. Bob enjoyed golfing and loved visiting Cancun.

Bob is survived by his wife, Lori Vasquez and her children, Matthew, Rachael, and Jason; daughter, Kristi (Mike); two grandchildren; siblings: Felipe (Marilyn) Diana (Peter), Richard (Denise), Raymond (Kelly); good friends, Nate (Helen); and many nieces and nephews.
