ROCKIE D. HERIDIA, age 62, of Valparaiso, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 21, 2014. He was born on August 23, 1952 in Gary, Indiana. Rockie retired from Union Tank Car as a machinist and was a member of Faith Mission Church in Valparaiso. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and playing cards . Rockie was a motorcycle enthusiast and a black belt in karate. He enjoyed anything that involved an adventure. Rockie will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Vicki Heridia; 2 daughters, Tanya (Dwayne Howard) Heridia and Amber (Manuel Maldonado) Heredia; 2 grandchildren, Rudy Victor Heridia and Manuel Andrew Maldonado, Jr.; 4 brothers, Richard (Judy), Donald Joseph (Darlene); Emanuel (Maria) and John (Pam) Heridia; sister, Cindy Grafton; numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family.

Rockie was preceded in death by his son, Robert; parents, Manuel and Ellen Heridia; and infant sister, Judy Carol.

A funeral service for Rockie will be Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., with Pastor Herb Barker officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
