Rocky Payne, age 66, of Portage, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015 at home. He was born on June 4, 1948 in Arkansas to the late Hubert and Jessie Payne. He proudly served his country in the Navy from 1968-1972 followed by briefly working at a mill. He then became an over the road truck driver until 1999.
Rocky is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Sharon Payne; 6 children, Jennifer (Joe) Van Horssen, Jami (Mike) Forster, Jason (Sarah) Payne, Charles Vukovich, Julie Myers, Jessica (Wade) Goodson; 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two beautiful granddaughters; Samantha and Alexis.
Visitation for Rocky will take place Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage. Cremation will follow services.
