Age 36, passed away Saturday, June 21,2014 at Porter Regional in Valparaiso, Indiana. He was born on June 23, 1977 to Fred and Hazel Shannon in Crown Point, Indiana. Rodney was a simple man who loved to be loved and loved everyone around him.
He is survived by his parents Fred and Hazel Shannon of Portage; four brothers, Mike (Heather) Shannon of Angola, John and Misty Shannon of Portage, Donald (Renee) Shannon of Portage and Jeffery Shannon of Portage; sister, Angela Shannon of Portage; 4 half-brothers, Kenneth, Michael Edward, Freddie and Chad; half- sister, Tonya; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members and friends.
A Funeral service for Rodney will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2914 at 3:00 PM at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Ave. Lake Station, Indiana 46405. Cremation will follow.
