Rodney Dewayne Stanfill

Rodney D. Stanfill, age 49, of Portage, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017. He was born in Gary, Indiana on February 17, 1968 to the late Leon and Iris (nee Studard) Stanfill. He was employed at Utility Services as a truck driver. Rodney was a kind and caring man who never met a stranger. He enjoyed going to the movies, eating, and watching television. Rodney will be remembered as funny, yet sarcastic, and very respectful.

Rodney is survived by his loving fiancé, Michelle Stratton Dale; sisters, Linda Bowen, Patricia (Donald) Yuraitis, Norma Vasquez; nieces, Kristi (Michael) Kasperek, Diane (Brandon) Lahr; nephew, Daniel Yuraitis; great nieces and nephews, Abby, Aidan, Bradi, Brynlea; step children, Sam (Brittany) Coombs, Mallorie (Jeremy) Spencer; and step grandchildren, Aedan, Ash, Benjamin, and one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Stanfill, Chris Stanfill and his parents.

A funeral service for Rodney will take place Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Ave. Portage, IN 46368 with Bob Burton officiating.
